Animals at Puxton
PETS VILLAGE
Visit all our furry friends in Pets Village and see them hopping around their indoor & outdoor enclosures.
We have a variety of breeds of rabbit including a Long Haired Lionhead, Rex’s and a Flemish Giant.
Also come along and say hello to our range of rodents, which includes guinea pigs, chipmunks and degus climbling around their enclosures and nibbling on vegetable treats.
Our recue duck 'Daffy' will greet you with a quack and also see our young birds, Pekin Bantam chickens and ducklings.
Pets petting sessions are at 2.30pm every day when you will have a chance to make friends with the animals, hold and stroke them. During school holidays we also have an additional session at 11.00 am
FARM ANIMALS
Visit the paddocks where you can see all our friendly animals.
Donkey's 'Sally' & 'Jim' are here for the summer and you can hear their braying all over the Park ! 'Charlie' & 'Joe' are beautiful Welsh Mountain ponies - so do come along and see them.
Our hairy Highland cow Molly is a proud mum and you can watch her grazing on the paddock with her daughter Matilda. Young Holsteins from our working dairy farm can also be seen grazing.
Pearl & Sidney the Vietnamese Pot Bellied Pigs will grunt at you as you walk past. You can also see our Saddleback pigs looking slightly brown after they have been rolling in their mud wallow - their favourite pastime.
Pygmy Goats Guiness, Ky & Monsoon would love you to visit them and give them a stroke.
Our friendly hand-reared Lambs will run to the gate to greet you.
Conservation at Puxton
Come and see our new conservation area and watch our natural British wildlife and plants throughout the changing seasons.
The water area provides a suitable habitat for a variety of different species and the chance to look more closely at the pond life.
