Puxton Park Employee Nominated for National Award

Somerset- FARM and rural attractions from around the UK have entered in for a chance to be honoured as a National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN)Award Winner.

These awards celebrate the best in farm parks and countryside attractions from all over the UK.

Puxton Park’s Train Driver, Roy Moss, has been nominated as a finalist in the Day Maker category.

This award is presented to an individual that has made an extraordinary effort, who has gone out of their way and made a visitor’s day.

Other candidates for this award included individuals from 4 Kingdoms Adventure Park & Family Farm and Kew Little Pigs.

Roy Moss is Puxton's Senior Miniature Railway Train Driver who, following his retirement, decided to make his childhood dream come true by becoming a train driver!

According to Puxton Park's Managing Director, Alistair Mead, "Over the past 5 years, Roy has brought nothing but joy to our visitors. He is truly one of the parks greatest assets and a perfect role model, confidant, teacher and friend to all of us that have the privilege of working with him. There’s not a day that goes by that we don’t hear customers rejoicing over the wonderful train driver who made their day, by making a gesture as small as remembering a visitors name or letting a child blow the whistle on the train, he truly is a Day Maker in our eyes and we feel very lucky to have him work for us."

Accepting the nomination with great humility, Roy Moss said “This is a truly unexpected surprise. I feel so honoured and privileged to have been nominated for such a fantastic award. With a whole team of Day Makers working at Puxton Park, we will continue and strive to provide unforgettable experiences for all of our visitors.”
