Puxton Animal Keeper Wins National Award

Farm and rural attractions from around the UK gathered at the International Centre in Telford, Shropshire on Wednesday, the 31st January for the Annual National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN) Conference and Awards Ceremony, celebrating the best in farm parks and countryside attractions.

Puxton Park’s Senior Animal Keeper, Joe Huntley was presented with the honourable Day Maker Award. This award is presented to an individual that has made an extraordinary effort, who has gone out of their way and made a visitor’s day.

Other candidates for this award included individuals from Cattle Country Adventure Park, Cannon Hall Farm and Pennywell Farm.

The wildlife enthusiast, who starting working at the park in 2014, has played an enormous role in steering the vision and future of Puxton’s efforts to promote farming and conservation efforts in the South West.

Accepting the award with great humility, Joe Huntley said “This is a truly unexpected surprise. I feel so honoured and privileged to have been presented this great award. With a whole team of Day Makers working at Puxton Park, we will continue and strive to provide unforgettable experiences for all of our visitors.”
