We are currently looking for an animal assistant to join the animal team at Puxton Park.
Responsibilites would include:
General care of all the animals at the park ranging from small animals like tortoises rabbits and parrots to hoofstock like cows, goats, reindeer and alpaca’s. Care would include doing feedings, cleaning, administering medication and training as well as taking part in interactive shows, and running tractor rides.
-Common interest in animals and relevant qualification e.g. BTEC in animal management, degree level, outsourced training.
-Passion for education and conservation
-Experience working with children or an attraction environment
-Flexible with shifts
-Must be able to work weekends and holidays
-Hard working, physical learner, with an outgoing attitude
-Experience with working with animals
-Full drivers licence
-Animal based qualification
-Works well under pressure
-Good with timekeeping
-Public speaking and presentation skills
-Experience in a zoo/farm environment

We are currently looking for Seasonal Staff to join the Puxton Park Team. These individuals would work 5 days a week from July-September. This person would be responsible for providing great customer service in a multifunctional position. Duties will include supervising and operating play equipment, assisting in day-to-day activites and providing a helping hand wherever it is needed. We are looking for a Cleaner to take care of our facilities and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties with the goal of keeping our building and park in a clean and orderly condition.
-Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
-Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
-Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
-Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
-Make adjustments and minor repairs
-Cooperate with the rest of the staff
-Follow all health and safety regulations
-Proven working experience as a cleaner
-Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
-Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

We are launching a search to find a traditional Father Christmas and Mrs. Claus to run our Festive Cosy Cottage this winter.
We are searching for a person to fill the role of a jolly and friendly Mrs Claus and Father Christmas and we’re also looking for someone that has the festive X-Factor to bring some Christmas cheer to our young visitors.
The successful applicants will be expected to work in Puxton’s new £30,000 festive Cosy Cottage barn that has been built as part of its Winter Wonderland.
Duties will include working with young visitors and the elves, who will be undertaking Christmas arts and crafts, from November 25-December 24. This person will have the ability to remain in character and answer the children’s Christmas questions, pose for photos and have the ability to create and sustain the magic of Christmas in our very unique grotto. Applicants must be cheerful, have a warm traditional manner and be great with children.
