Reception Supervisor/Duty Manager- Full Time

We are seeking a friendly, ambitious; customer focused Reception Supervisor to lead our busy, friendly reception and park team at the award winning Puxton Park.

We welcome large numbers of visitors through our doors every day and the success of the park lies in the experience that they receive. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day organisation of the front desk as well as ensuring that the park team are allocated to the appropriate area of the park. A high degree of organisation and customer focus will be required in order to ensure that every customer visiting the park has an exceptional experience.

We are looking for someone who can maintain a positive and calm outlook, a friendly approach, can communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, carry out instructions, be able to pay close attention to detail and a desire to provide exceptional customer service.

To succeed within the role you must have previous experience of working within a customer facing/customer service role and be computer literate. You should also have a constant desire to improve the business, an approachable manner, and knowledge of the MS Office suite.

There are some big plans for the park and the right candidate will have the ability to take on new tasks, responsibilities and duties as the business grows. This is a job with future prospects and an opportunity to make your mark.

Duties and responsibilities:

-Ensure front office staff provide guests with prompt service, professional attention and personal recognition

-Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner

-Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions using established procedures.

-Deal with any outstanding guest requests or issues that may require additional monitoring or follow-up

-Take action to solve guest problems/ complaints

-Scheduling front of house and park team

-Ordering of consumables

-Upselling and processing of memberships

-Standards audits

-Follow and implement park safety protocols and procedures at all times.

-Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments as per park procedures to ensure excellent quality and service

The list above is far from exhaustive as being prepared to pitch in in all areas of the business will be required on occasion.

There is a requirement to work longer hours during our events schedule, for stocktaking and other ad hoc business needs. Taking holiday during the school holiday period will not be possible. The park is open every day of the year except Christmas Day and the successful candidate must be able to get to the park for 07.00 on occasions.
