High Ropes Course Activity Instructor

(Full-time and Part-time positions)

We are looking to add enthusiastic individuals to a very special team of people to run this fantastic attraction. Due to operating requirements, minimum application age must be18 years or older.

We require friendly and well-motivated people that have the ability to work in a customer orientated environment that caters for children, families and groups.  The job involves assisting in the smooth running of the day to day operation of our High Ropes attraction.

The care and safety of our visitors will be of paramount importance. Therefore the need to abide by and promote the Health and Safety policy in a fun & understanding way to all age groups and abilities will be an essential part of the role. All operatives will be site-specifically trained in the core safety aspects of the role, which will include safety briefing, harnessing techniques and rope work procedures.   

This position will involve week day and weekend work and an increased work load during school holidays but less in school term time. As highlighted the High Ropes Course is a year-round attraction that operates in a variety of weather conditions. Therefore this role will involve being immersed in the great outdoors and enjoying yourself come rain or shine!

You don’t have to be ultra fit but at times it could be physically challenging and you will need a good head for heights!

In return you can hone your skills as an outdoor activity instructor, help participants to complete the course, build-up individual’s confidence levels and introduce the younger, current & older generations to the exciting world of High Ropes adventures. We will provide the mandatory Site-Specific Safety Training needed and will support you in achieving First Aid qualifications and CRB checked status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promoting a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants.

  • Harnessing, Safety Briefing & Course Supervision.  

  • Pre-use, safety equipment & Daily Inspections & On-going Maintenance Tasks.

  • Good eye for detail and consistent approach to Safety first

  • Dealing with Emergencies, Scenarios and First Aid training an advantage

Part-time Cleaner (12 hours per week)

We are looking for a Cleaner to take care of our facilities and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties with the goal of keeping our building and park in a clean and orderly condition.

Responsibilities:

-Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)

-Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities

-Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects

-Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs

-Make adjustments and minor repairs

-Cooperate with the rest of the staff

-Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

-Proven working experience as a cleaner

-Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery

-Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

-Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
