Puxton Park School Visits and Educations

Puxton Park is a farm Zoo Adventure Park situated in the heart of North Somerset. Our animal team host our education trips that provide an interactive animal experience with a collection of over 45 different species. These range from farm stock, domestic pets and exotic zoo animals. We strive to provide a flexible, tailor made trip bringing the lesson taught in the classroom to life in student’s hands.

Day plan for the educational trip:

10:00 -Arrive at Puxton Park

10:00 to 10:30- settle in to your base room for the day (toilets, snacks ect.)

10:30 to 12:00- go though the three chosen activities (if independent trip chosen this will not apply).

12:00 onwards- rest of the day is yours to explore the park

Lunch is recommended to by eaten in base room or in outside picnic areas, all activities will be available to you other than the public tractor ride (if you would like the tractor ride this must be chosen as one of the three chosen activities).

Relating to the class room

We find our educations work best for students when we relate them to what they are taught in the class room. We always recommended telling us a subject or a topic that the students are learning about and we will be able to guide/relate our interactive activities to said subject. Examples could be adaptations, conservation, food chains, classification or any other topic you would want us to relate.
