Carer Terms & Conditions of Entry
Carer Terms & Conditions of Entry
At Puxton Park, we are committed to providing an inclusive,
safe, and enjoyable environment for all visitors. Where admission is granted to
a carer, free entry is subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. Duty of Care
The carer remains solely responsible for the supervision, care, and conduct of
the individual they are accompanying at all times whilst on the premises. This
responsibility includes, but is not limited to, ensuring their safety,
wellbeing, and appropriate behaviour.
Carers must remain within arm's reach of the individual they
are accompanying at all times unless the individual's care plan or mobility
needs reasonably require otherwise. The carer must be capable of providing
immediate assistance should it be required.
2. Personal Care and Support
Puxton Park staff are not trained or authorised to provide personal care or
specialist support. Carers are responsible for all personal care requirements,
including toileting, feeding, administering medication, and any mobility
assistance required during the visit.
3. Medical Requirements
Carers must ensure that any necessary medication, medical equipment, or support
aids are brought with them and remain accessible throughout the visit. Puxton
Park accepts no liability for the provision, storage, or administration of such
items.
The carer must also be able to communicate effectively with
Puxton Park staff in English to ensure that essential medical information,
emergency instructions, and welfare requirements can be clearly understood and
communicated should assistance be required.
4. Behaviour Management
Carers are responsible for managing the behaviour of the individual in their
care. Where behaviour presents a risk to the individual, other guests, staff,
or animals, Puxton Park reserves the right to request that the carer remove the
individual from the activity, area, or premises if deemed necessary.
5. Participation in Activities
It is the carer's responsibility to assess the suitability and safety of any
rides, play areas, animal interactions, or attractions for the individual they
support. While staff may provide general guidance, Puxton Park accepts no
responsibility for decisions made regarding participation.
6. Animal Welfare and Compliance
As a working farm and family attraction, all guests must comply with animal
welfare guidance and park rules. Carers must ensure the individual they
accompany follows all instructions relating to animal interactions, including
feeding restrictions and safety procedures.
7. Emergency Procedures
In the event of an emergency, carers must remain with and assist the individual
in their care and comply with all instructions given by Puxton Park staff or
emergency services.
8. Liability
Puxton Park accepts no liability for incidents, injuries, losses, or damages
arising as a result of the carer failing to adequately supervise or support the
individual in their care.
9. Damage and Recovery of Losses
Carers shall be responsible for any loss, damage, or destruction to Puxton Park
property, facilities, equipment, livestock, or any third-party property caused
by the actions or behaviour of the individual in their care where such actions
could reasonably have been prevented through appropriate supervision and
intervention.
Puxton Park reserves the right to recover from the carer,
care facility, or the responsible party any costs, losses, expenses, or damages
incurred as a result of such behaviour. This may include, but is not limited
to, repair costs, replacement costs, veterinary fees, loss of business, or any
associated operational expenses arising directly or indirectly from the
incident.
10. Right to Refuse Entry or Remove Guests
Puxton Park reserves the right to refuse entry or require the removal of any
guest, including carers and those they accompany, where these terms and
conditions are not adhered to, or where behaviour compromises safety, welfare,
or the enjoyment of others.
By entering Puxton Park, carers acknowledge and accept these
terms and conditions in full.
