Charity Tractor Run Raises Thousands Of Pounds For St. Peter's Hospice

Puxton Park was bustling with excitement on December 27th, 2023, as farmers from all over Somerset came together to participate in The Charity Tractor Run, a heartwarming annual event that not only showcased 200 festively decorated tractors, but also celebrated the collective spirit of the community coming together for a great cause. Thousands of smiling faces lined the village streets as the convoy made its way through several villages and landmarks of Somerset on its way to its final destination, Puxton Park.  

Since its inception in 2020, The Charity Tractor Run has been more than just a procession of remarkable machines— the event has raised over £30,000 for local charities, a testament to the unwavering dedication and compassion of everyone involved.

The day commenced with anticipation and enthusiasm as the convoy of tractors gathered outside Michael Burdge Ltd along Arnolds Way, Yatton, ready to embark on a scenic journey through the heart of North Somerset. The route traversed several villages and iconic landmarks, weaving through Claverham, Cleeve, Congresbury, Brinsea, Sandford, Winscombe, Banwell, Locking, Haywood village, Winterstoke road, Weston Hospital, Weston seafront, Knightstone road, Boulevard, and Worle.

The tractors wrapped up their journey at Land Farm, Puxton Park. As the event came to end, there was a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie, knowing that every engine rev, every donation, and every raffle ticket purchased had contributed to a cause much larger than themselves.
