Puxton Park Donates Toys to Local School

Somerset –PUXTON Park Tourist Attraction, located in Hewish, near Weston-super-Mare, has donated a number of toys to the children at Locking Primary School.

After having over £1,000 worth of toys stolen from their shed over the Bank Holiday weekend, Puxton Park stepped in to replace many of the toys.

"With budget cuts affecting schools across the country, there was a strong possibility that the school wouldn't be able to fund the replacement of the stolen goods."

Alistair Mead, Managing Director of Puxton Park, says "We were devastated to hear that the children's toys and equipment had been stolen. Especially knowing that the children had raised the funds to buy the toys themselves, we are delighted to be in a position to offer our support. Puxton Park was built on the foundation of education and play therefore we understand the important role that these toys play in the children's development. Donating these toys was the least we could do and we will continue to support the school until all of their equipment has been replaced.

The local community has now joined forces to make sure the children will not go without. With donations coming from parents, teachers and local businesses the children now have many new toys to play with.
